Ken joined Grandstaff in 2010 as Senior Vice President. Ken brings with him an impressive resume that includes over 400 transactions in 40 states and 5 Canadian Provinces including new store openings totaling over 2,500,000 SF and accounting for $250,000,000 in annual revenue.
Ken spent the first 3 years of his career as a national real estate broker completing over 200 transactions selling and subleasing retail and restaurant property for landlords. Ken then spent the next 5 years as a national tenant rep broker for casual dining and upscale restaurants. During this time, Ken was responsible for the opening of over 50 new restaurant locations. Ken’s clients included Maggiano’s, Corner Bakery, Chili’s, On The Border, Macaroni Grill, California Pizza Kitchen, Village Tavern, Mimi’s Cafe, Chuck E. Cheese’s, Johnny Carino’s, Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Kona Grill, and Z-Tejas.
After 8 years in the brokerage business, Ken joined CEC Entertainment as VP of Real Estate in 2003. Ken spent the next 6 years leading the team that developed and opened 140 new Chuck E Cheese restaurants. Ken was involved in all aspects of development including prototype design, architectural drawings, construction budgets, legal contracts, and presentations to city councils. In addition to new store development, Ken’s team was responsible for the asset and property management of all 500 existing CEC locations. These stores totaled over 5,000,000 SF of space.
Ken’s market knowledge of North America and his leadership experience combined with his corporate, brokerage, and development background make him a valued addition to the Grandstaff team.
Ken graduated cum laude from Washington and Lee University in 1994 with a BA in History and a Concentration in Economics.
